St James, Woodhead is no-longer used as a church, but is cared for by trustees.
It stands in bleak surroundings, close to the A57 Woodhead Pass, a main road, in winter often blocked by snow.
Few people now live in the area.
The building is a reminder that, a hundred years ago, a small community did eke out a living here.
