COULD THEIR TRUE HEARTED
VALOUR QUELL:

IS   IT   WELL   WITH   THEM?

Comment

St Peter's is a fascinating old place of worship standing alongside Tabley Hall. Its interior looks as though is has remained unchanged for centuries, still lit by candles. I enjoyed exploring, but couldn't find the war memorial which I had been told was there. There remained the entrance hall, currently unused, the side entrance from Tabley Hall is used instead. It has no windows and was in complete darkness. I groped my way in and took flash photographs, rotating between each, until one revealed wreaths of red poppies in the distance. Making my way in that direction, I navigated by flash photo and camera screen. Once in front of the memorial, photos were taken by trial and much error. Thus the memorial was recorded. I stood in front of it, photographed it, but didn't see it with my own eyes. Such are the marvels of a digital camera with instant playback, and a lens that can focus automatically in complete darkness.
