Hyde Chapel is a Unitarian Church situated at the junction of Stockport Road and Joel Lane in Gee Cross. The first church on this site was erected in 1708, the present building in 1846. Tameside Local Studies Library in Stalybridge holds baptismal records 1710 - 1840, and burial records 1785 - 1989.
