A terrace of workers cottages solidly built in stone with slate roofs.
The terrace looks as though it was built in the early 19th century.
At the rear a narrow passage separates it from a retaining wall and the Peak Forest Canal.
On the opposite side of the canal an old warf has been converted into a small marina.
The traditionally shaped narrowboats are now floating homes.
